The Election Commission of India has recently announced the official date of the Mumbai Election. According to the Election Commission of India, Mumbai Election will take place on November 3, 2022 and possibly the results of these elections are assumed to be released by November 6, 2022.
On November 3, 2022 MLA Bypoll Election will take place in Andheri East. This time the election will be more important and special than before. It will be interesting to see who will win, BJP or Shivsena. The Election Commission of India had announced MLA Bypoll Election to be held in 7 states in which Mumbai Andheri East is also included. Along with Mumbai these elections will be held on the same date and results will also be released on the same date in Odisha, Telangana, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gopalganj, Haryana. Rutuja Latke from Shiv Sena and Murji Patel from Bhartiya Janta party (BJP) will contest the Mumbai Election 2022.
Since the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government collapsed as a result of a vertical split in the Shiv Sena, this would be the first direct election campaign between the BJP and the Thackeray faction of the Sena. On Thursday, the BJP and the Shinde faction made a last-minute decision to field a BJP candidate rather than one from the Shinde-led “Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena.” Minutes before the nomination period was about to expire, Patel’s nomination was formally announced.
The candidates who are still in the race are Rutuja Ramesh Latke (of the Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Balasahed Thackeray), Milind Kashinath Kamble (of the Independents), Neena Ganpat Khedekar (also of the Independents), Sandesh Sadanand Jadhav (of the People’s Party of India (Democratic)), Rajesh Ramdular Tripathi (of the Uttar Bharti (People).
