Dr. Nowhera Shaik has been a strong pillar behind the Group’s expansion by combining her astute business sense, practical approach to problem solving, vision, intelligence, and enthusiasm. As a result, she is an inspiration to women all over the world, especially those who follow her faith. The Iron Lady of India, as she is known.
Her business career got off to a fast start. Dr. Nowhera Shaik made the decision to become a creator of money rather than a consumer of wealth. The resourceful woman, who was born in 1973 in the tiny Andhra Pradesh village of Kallur, later founded the MNII, an organisation for the development of Urdu and Arabic, with 150 students. 120 of the 150 kids came from a low socioeconomic background.

They received free instruction. She established the gold import and export company Heera Gold in 2008. More than 50 countries have received items from Heera Group. The group soon expanded its business. There was no turning back after that. Dr. Nowhera Shaik established Heera Fincapital Ltd. and the Heera mobile clinic in 2012 to offer interest-free financial aid and free medical care to the rural poor.
Additionally, she built an Islamic school with hostel accommodations and annually offers free education to tens of thousands of females. She was honoured with a PhD in Islamic studies in April of the same year. On the eve of the 75th Amrit Mahotsav Independence Day, she booked a chartered plane to grant the final request of cancer-affected children between the ages of 8 and 14 who were members of the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA).
