Rain in Kerala today 2021, The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kannur, Kasaragod, and Kozhikode districts on November 16, 2021.

All educational institutions will remain shut on November 16 in Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, and Alappuzha districts. Kerala University and MG University have canceled their exams scheduled for that date.


Enormous rains develop to lash parts of Kerala, including the Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam & Kottayam region, occurring in widespread estate destruction. On November 15, three people died in rain-related occurrences, according to a PTI report.

According to government Agriculture Minister P Prasad, crops worth Rs 400 crore were harmed due to rains. Pathanamthitta district received 194 percent excess rain during this period, pursued by Kannur, Kasaragod, Kozhikode District, indicating 127, 116, and 111 percent crucial extra deviations.

Meanwhile, the rains have worsened the situation in Kerala. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi petitioned the party laborers to help out the people in Kerala.

The IMD said that the cyclonic circulation over the east-central and surrounding southeast the Arabian Sea; off Karnataka, north Kerala coasts extending up to mid-tropospheric level persists.

The administration also advised the fishermen not to experiment into the sea as the strong wind; with velocity reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 mph is probable to occur over the Kerala shore.
