Pt thomas death reason, the deputy president of the Kerala Congress and an MLA from the Thrikkakara seat in Ernakulam district, died on Wednesday at the Vellore Medical College. Where he’d been receiving cancer treatment for the past several weeks. He was 71 at the moment.

In 2016, he relocated to Thrikkakara, an urban and diversified seat in Ernakulam district. Wherein he gained two consecutive Legislative elections in 2016 and 2021.

Especially In the most recent reorganization of the state unit of Congress, Thomas was named deputy president of the committee. As a person of strong convictions, he stood apart. He was renowned as a revolutionary leader within the Congress for taking progressive and secular positions on all subjects. He was unafraid and go against the Church, though it meant jeopardizing his voting base.
