Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan
Pinarayi Vijayan, the Kerala Chief Minister, on Tuesday expressed opposition to any kind of investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Although This was regarding their probe into suspected irregularities in the cooperative financial institutions of the state. He claimed that the Central agency did not need to interfere in the cooperative sector.
Especially Vijayan stated this in response to a question about the demand made by K T Jaleel; the CPI(M)-backed MLA and his former Cabinet colleague. Mr. Jaleel demanded for an investigation into suspected money laundering at one cooperative bank governed; by the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML); in Malappuram district by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Although He further chastised Jaleel for bringing the issue to the attention of the ED. It has already begun an investigation into the suspected anomalies at the A R Nagar Service Cooperative Bank; according to the Chief Minister.
Expressed His Opposition To Any Kind Of Investigation
Especially In a news conference in Malappuram the day before, Jaleel accused senior Muslim League politician P K Kunhalikutty. He accused him of engaging in fraudulent transactions to a tune of Rs 1,021 crore; via the A R Nagar Service Cooperative Bank in the district.
Moreover The Chief Minister’s remark has come as a blow to Jaleel. He who has been engaged in a political fight with Kunhalikutty, a competitor in the Malappuram district. Finally As part of his campaign against Kunhalikutty, Jaleel submitted a statement to the ED. There he accused the Muslim League leader of committing suspected financial irregularities in the name of the Muslim League; spokesperson in the state while serving as the mouthpiece for the Muslim League.
