Delhi High Court has dismissed a petition seeking the restoration of deities within the Qutub Minar complex, citing the Ayodhya ruling

Delhi high court rejected a civil complaint demanding the reinstatement of Hindu and Jain deities and the ability to worship inside the Qutub Minar complex, stating that It cannot use past injustices to undermine the present tranquillity situation.
The complaint, which wa brought in favour of Jain god Tirthankar Shri Rishabh Dev and Hindu deity Lord Vishnu, stated that Qutubdin Aibak, a general in Mohamad Gauri’s army, partially damaged 27 temples. Quwwat-ul-Islam Masjid was built within the compound by recycling the material.
“India had a historically long heritage,” Civil Judge Neha Sharma declared in dismissing the complaint. A variety of dynasties has controlled it. During the trial, the plaintiff’s attorney argued vehemently on the topic of national disgrace. Nobody has disputed that injustices were done previously. Still, It cannot use such injustices to disrupt the harmony of our present situation.”
The judge went on to say, “Our land has a strong history and has experienced difficult times.” Nonetheless, history must be embraced as its whole. Is it possible to keep the good while erasing the bad from our heritage?”
The court said in the order, referring to the Supreme Court‘s Ayodhya judgment, which stated, “Keenly aware as we are off with us antiquity and of the need for the nation to encounter it, Autonomy was a defining moment to right the wrongs of the past.” People taking the law out of their own hands will not be able to right past injustices.”
The lawsuit, filed by counsel Vishnu Shankar Jain, sought a compulsory order against the national government, requiring it to establish a trust following the Trust Act of 1882 and hand over control and management of the main temple inside the Qutub Complex.
