Conformed Total omicron cases in Kerala

Total omicron cases in Kerala Health Department announced on Sunday that 19 more persons in the state had tested positive for the Omicron variation of COVID-19. It brings the total number of diseases by the new variety to 57. 11 new Omicron instances were discovered in Ernakulam, 6 in Thiruvananthapuram. And one each in Kochi and Kannur, according to the state health department.

In light of the rising number of Omicron instances in the state, the health department encouraged everyone to be particularly cautious. However, India’s overall number of omicron cases has risen to 422. With new cases being discovered in 17 states and union territories. An Omicron case was reportedly found in the state as a result of sentinel surveillance. Which involves randomly testing people in a neighborhood.

Over 130 Omicron sufferers have healed or moved, as per the Union Ministry of Health. Maharashtra has recorded the most Omicron instances thus far. The Kerala government stated it plans to vaccinate 15 lakh youngsters in the stipulated age bracket in the state. A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered Covid-19 vaccine for youngsters aged 15 to 18. “We have 15 lakh children in that age category,” stated Health Minister Veena George. In light of the Omicron danger, efforts will be made to complete children’s vaccinations as soon as possible.”

Today, the states of Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh announced their first Omicron instances. In the previous 24 hours, at least 6,987 new covid-19 cases have been reported, bringing the total active caseload to 3,47,86,802. According to health ministry figures, the number of deaths has risen to 4,79,682 with 162 deaths. The daily increase of covid-19 cases has been below 15,000 over the past 59 days, according to the data.
