Agneepath Scheme Explained. In a move aimed at boosting employment, the Centre and several states have decided to absorb the agnipath scheme soldiers released after serving their term, into a range of jobs. While this is a welcome step, the agnipath scheme should not be seen as an escape from the real world. Rather, it should be viewed as a way of giving people a chance to live out their dreams.
The Centre and a number of state governments have announced a number of incentives for soldiers recruited under the Agnipath scheme, dubbed Agniveers, and released after four years of service amid nationwide protests against the scheme.
Benefits Of Agneepath Scheme Explained:
The new army recruitment scheme will only last for four years. After this time, the soldiers will be given a choice to stay in the army or to leave. This means that if they want to continue serving in the army, they will have to serve for another four years. If they decide to quit, they will not be forced to serve again.
The Centre and some state governments have announced a number of measures, which have ranged from reservation in vacancies to assurance they would get preferred in state jobs. Here we list the incentives by various Union ministries and state governments for Agniveers.
Reservation in Defence Ministry:
It was later reported that the Defence Ministry had told the Indian Air Force (IAF) that it would reserve its place for Agniveers.
The Centre had earlier announced reservation of 20 per cent of jobs for women in public sector undertakings and central government ministries.
Reservation in Union Home Ministry:
Union Home Minister had made an announcement in Parliament about reserving 10 per cent jobs for Agniveers in CAPFs and Assam Rifles on February 12, 2018.
This will be applicable for the first batch of Agniveer, as we have only two batches of the product. The second batch will have a 10-year age relaxation.
Union Sports & Youth Affairs Ministry
He also said the government is planning to bring an integrated model for the development of sports.
He said that the government is planning to introduce a new program for students who want to pursue sports.
Union Civil Aviation Ministry:
The Union Civil Aviation Ministry has announced that it would recruit Agniveers into its various services. “Agniveer is an online platform for freelancers and agencies to post their projects and for clients to search for them. Government aims to revolutionize the way people work, by making it easier for them to find work.
