Kerala Permits Cinema Halls And College, Following a continuous decline in coronavirus cases in the state, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan declared the reopening of film theatres and indoor auditoriums on Saturday.

The relaxations will take effect on October 25. 50% of seats will be available in theaters and auditoriums “Vijayan expressed his incapacity.

 From October 18th, the Kerala government will allow regular classes in colleges and training institutes. The colleges will only accept fully immunized students and staff.

 According to the chief minister, over 90% of the targeted population has received at least one dosage of the coronavirus vaccination. Kerala reported 13,217 fresh Covid-19 cases whereas 121 deaths on Saturday. This bringing the total number of cases to 47,07,936 and the death toll to 25,303.

To Reopen With Limitations From October 25

According to Health Minister Veena George, the state has examined 96,835 tests in the last 24 hours. There are 745 wards throughout 368 institutions of self-bodies in which the weekly total infection percentage is above 10%. “In the state, there are 1,41,155 active cases, with only 11% in hospitals,” the minister stated in a statement. 

On Saturday, Ernakulam had fresh infections (1,730), trailed by Thiruvananthapuram (1584) & Thrissur (1579) among some districts. In the meantime, 14,437 people recovered from the condition, bringing the total number of people cured in the state to 45,40,866.

 Moreover the route of contamination for 623 people has yet to be identified, and 85 health staff are among those who have been infected, according to the press statement. There are 4,37,864 people under surveillance, with 17,308 of them in hospital isolation units.
