Animated Short Movie on Sex Education For Children Released by kerala Government on Tuesday. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan posted it on his Facebook page. The Comprehensive Child Development Plan and the Women and Child Development Department produced the movie. ‘Ami, Adi c/o Sanju, Manju with the message that sex education should begin at family.

In a Facebook post, CM stated that our beliefs about sexuality would hinder gender equality and the advancement of healthy male-female interactions. As a result, he explained, modern society requires that future generations receive scientific sex education.

Even though there are debates about teen pregnancy, there is a lack of information about safe sex. Within the school’s concept, the terms sex and sexuality carry a lot of taboo, particularly in the presence of authorities.

Sex Education aims to educate children about pregnancy and birth once again. According to the government, most sex education takes place outside of the classroom. As a result of the increase in awareness of “sexual abuse of children,” sex education is becoming more popular gradually in bits and pieces. Again, the social environment in which the pupils are socializing is heterosexist. It is frequently an assumption that these educational principles will inevitably lead to identity development and impact society.

The short clip encourages parents to respond appropriately to their children’s queries rather than avoid them. Alternatively, the children may turn to harmful sources for explanations, establishing erroneous beliefs about sexuality, fertility, and even their bodies. And thus at this point, it becomes the parent’s responsibility to check the same.
