Recently the number of covid cases in Kerala took a slight movement upwards. And it is stated that the number of confirmed cases is 3,06,63,665. It is also recorded officially that the recovered numbers are around 2,97,99,534.
The local self-government institutions are being re-categorized in Kerala based on a 7-day average Test Positivity Rate (TPR) of Covid-19 cases. The Kerala government has recently given more relaxation to gyms and tourism destinations to re-open while following certain conditions. The government officials will start operating full-time and now function with full strength in certain locations where Test Positivity Rate (TPR) is low.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan recently announced that it was dedicated to identifying the local bodies based on TPR. Keeping in mind COVID cases in Kerala, the new guidelines for near-to-home vaccination centres for the elderly and differently-abled citizens are developed.
So what is near to the home covid vaccination centre (NHCVC)? PIB in Kerala NHCVC ensures vaccination of elderly citizens and differently-abled population having limited mobility due to their physical condition by bringing vaccination services closer to the community and nearer to homes.
Further, PIB stated the proposed strategy for near to home Covid Vaccination Centres. (NHCVC) The sessions can be conducted in non-health facility-based settings and areas nearer to home, such as community centre, RWC centre/office, Panchayat Ghar, etc. Also, the deployment of trained human resources should be done for quality vaccination.
